Cashout

This feature is probably the most popular betting feature of the decade. It is the ability to cash out of a bet before the outcome has been settled.

Cashout has become so popular that some now regard a betting app that does not offer this function as a deal-breaker. It holds significant weight in our review scoring structure.

Cash-out options include –

Social media has become flooded with screenshots of bet slips that have provided a cashout profit on a selection that has then gone on to lose.

However, there is a flip side to that coin. There have also been many posts showing a small cashout gain on bets that have gone on to win, which would have brought back significantly more.

Not everybody likes to cash out, but pretty much everybody appreciates a cashout opportunity being offered to them.

Cashouts are not available on every type of bet and should not be expected. It is up to the bookmaker whether they offer a cashout or not. It is not the right of the consumer to receive one.

The cashout feature does vary from bookmaker to bookmaker. Some offer a partial cashout feature. App notifications

Bet or event notifications are very handy when you have a busy day ahead of you. Rather than you having to check every 5 minutes how your games or races are getting on, updates can be pushed to you through your mobile device’s notification system.

Once placing a bet on your chosen betting app, you are presented with an option to enable notifications on the events that are implicated in the bet.

This is another service that can vary greatly between bookmakers. Some bookmakers only provide notification options on events you have bet on whereas others allow users to set notifications across any event, regardless of whether the end-user has a vested interest or not.
